Welcome

I am a visual artist in Naarm / Melbourne, Australia. This is the land of the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nations.

The themes in my work involve basic elements, structures and processes of nature, geometry, and the human condition.

I make digital work, pen drawings and photographs.

My photographs are my most immediate way of documenting my experiences with trees, water, ocean, sky and earth. I photograph with natural light. My photographic work has become digital. I began making black and white analog photographs in Bunurong / South Gippsland in 1999.

The compositions of my pen drawings are translated from my photographs. The linework in them is informed by my multi-plate intaglio hard-ground etchings that I made in Nipaluna / Hobart during 2008.

I make digital work using greyscale tonal vector graphics. My methods for this have developed through my raster based digital photographic imaging processes, which I was introduced to in Naarm / Melbourne in 2002.
